In recalling an earlier timber work, this marble edition is constructed in unconventional diagonal joinery as a self-supporting twin column arch form.
The two appendages are conjoined by a twisted apex emphasizing the plasticity of an organic shape. A signature work as part of a residential, retail and parkland urban renewal space.

A collaboration to create ring segment for an entry/exit alcove. Within a confined space, the work serves both pedestrian and vehicle through traffic.
It’s surface is carved in radiating scallop texture and is balanced on a bottom heavy base. Located in savvy inner Melbourne as part of urban contractual obligation to realize sculpture as part of residential redevelopment.

Initial foray into extracting large quantities of indigenous marble from disused quarries in East Gippsland for free standing buoy and sail form set on Melbourne’s Bayside sandbelt foreshore.
A cone and pivoting sail with classical end curvature able to capture prevailing foreshore south easterlies. Within the fossiliferous surface, there abound ancient sea creatures which underline the marine theme.

An initial public art commission for a busy urban hub and intersection, resulted in a monumental sandstone trilithon form of three triangular vertical pillars traversed by interlocking horizontal lintels.
Textural rendering of the inner pillar’s contrasting the hard edge outer face. The space created within the form allows viewer access reminding of tors and monoliths of the ancient past.
